About the event
Dear Parent,
At the Winchester School, we strive to offer students an all-encompassing education, which enables students to become well-rounded and well-balanced individuals. Participation in extra-curricular activity creates an opportunity for our students to develop self-responsibility and stay creatively engaged. In collaboration with the English Department, our students Mehak Reji, along with Hiea Panicker and Alyssa D'souza of Year 12 have initiated a four-week programme “The Written Word Society”.
The Written Word Society explores language development using the lens of literature from various eras of human antiquity. Studentswill engage in creative, out-of-the-box storytelling and understand how literature has morphed sapiens into the species we are today. They will take a look into the past, present and future of human literature by exploring various genres of literature. The Written Word will germinate a group of seasoned individuals through dynamic learning methods like debates, role plays, quizzes and discussions.
This will be an excellent opportunity for students from Year 9 - 10 to expand their knowledge and spark a deep interest in English Literature. The sessions will be conducted online. Kindly find below the basic details of the programme;
