Dear Parent,

We at Winchester have always encouraged ourstudentsto share theirskills and talents with their peers. This academic year we are pleased to invite our students to participate in STEAM Hub@WIN program led by Brett Carvalho and Edha Sharma of Year 12 on collaboration with the ICT department. This will broaden their knowledge and skills in the STEAM field.

“STEAMHub@WIN” is a 9-week program developed for students from Year 4 to 7 to broaden their minds in terms of scientific concepts through experimentation. We are firm believers that practice makes perfect, and physically doing these activities develops motor skills as well as more advanced cognitive thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied to other areas of students’ academia. Participants will learn to create a prototype with the help of the platform, Lego Mindstorms.

Start Date Monday, 2nd January, 2023

Time 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm

Duration 9 weeks

Days Online sessions- Monday, 2nd January(Orientation), Monday, 9th January, Monday, 16th January,

Monday, 23rd January , Monday 30th January, Monday 6th February, Monday 13th February, Monday

20th February. Monday, 27th February

Offline Sessions- These will be conducted within the break time with students physically using the Lego Mindstorms.

Deadline for  registration: Thursday, 15th December 2022- first come first serve basis for 30 students. Link will be automatically closed after that.
